Proofreading Russian texts

Under proofreading is meant here the correction of grammatical errors. Such issues as missing letters, typos, and wrong punctuation are corrected, but the meaning, style, and structure of the text are left unaltered. The latter is the subject of editing. A translation is usually subjected to editing and then proofreading, and they should be performed by qualified native speakers.

Field of my expertise

I can proofread any texts written in Russian, regardless of their subject matter.

Source file format
Generally, I receive documents per e-mail. I commonly deal with files in the following formats:
  • .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, .csv
  • .jpg, .gif, .png, .xcf
  • .htm, .html, .shtml, .php, .js, .xml
The preferred formats are as follows:
  • .doc, .docx, .rtf

You send
You send me your document and (optionally) some supplementary materials.
For example, you can additionally send the following:
  • description of the purpose of the document (optionally),
  • formatting requirements (optionally),
  • special wishes,
  • etc.

You get
You receive two files:
  • the corrected text without traces of changes,
  • your original text with traces of correcting.
The first one is ready for immediate use or publication. The second one may be needed if you wish to decide yourself which corrections to accept and which to reject.

If you have any questions, please e-mail me.
